About TypeKeed

Hi. My name is Sibusiso Lukhele, aka Typekeed. As a curious kid born in the East Rand, eDevon, I had an intense passion for all things design. And so I studied design and multimedia. Because, well, why not. As a result, I spent a lot of time creating work, going to exhibitions, and exploring exciting creative spaces. Then I had a light-bulb moment: What if I could bring my work to life and make it more accessible to the rest of the world?

I am fascinated by people – their faces, their soul, their personalities, and I dabble in skateboarding when the moment strikes. The themes that I focus on are space and humans. This is my compass. To envision space as a more open experience through design and illustration.

This website is my portfolio, where you can see my work through functional garments. These will only be created once and will not be repeated with a unique design featured at each launch. Essentially, Typekeed will design a unique, exclusive, one-on-one design just for you.

Why do I do this?

My goal is to make illustrations into wearable art and clothing. Where abstract meets culture. With humans. All the items that I will design will be limited edition for a specific season, so when the new drawings arrive, I will push that range of new drawings so you can name them your own.
